Wanderings

A small, experimental risograph zine made in an exercise to discover Seattle by foot.
Wanderings
Timeline: Summer 2024, 4 Weeks
My Role: Sole explorer
Program(s): Photoshop
I created this zine as a personal project over the summer to learn more about risograph printing. I wanted to design a small project that required no binding and could be printed with multiple copies on a page. The format came from my paper mock-up experimentations. I wanted to use a line element illustrating the path I took walking across the pages of the zine, with the long landscape format to further push my use of the line element.

My goal was to create a playful, low stakes publication, leaving room for me to focus on the more technical aspects of riso printing, including the color separations, opacity, alignment, and double-sided printing. I had a blast exploring and I definitely have much more to learn about color separations, but I would love to return to the concept of wandering spontaneously to make more issues of this zine!
